Easy installation to meet high demand

Health systems around the world are under severe strain from the COVID-19 pandemic, affecting the availability of quick and accurate tests. The mobile laboratory is the ideal solution for border crossings, airports and hospitals – important control points for the detection of virus infections. This makes it quick and easy to implement optimal precautionary measures and provide effective and flexible test laboratories to meet public demand for safe and fast tests.

“In cooperation with Auto-Info, we quickly developed an easy-to-install test laboratory that meets the urgent medical requirements during the pandemic in a safe and compact environment,” said Henning Sandfort, CEO Building Products at Siemens Smart Infrastructure. “Air quality is an important factor in minimizing the transmission of the virus through the air indoors. Thanks to our technology, this quality is maintained at all times. ”
The Climatix IC technology from Siemens, which regulates humidity, pressure, temperature and air quality, ensures adequate ventilation in the mobile stations. Special algorithms for use cases in practice have been programmed to rule out accidental contamination and to prevent the medical staff in the mobile station from being exposed to the virus. A system equipped with three filters provides additional protection against virus intrusion.

Auto-Info, a Thai provider of automation solutions for the life science industry, was able to combine its expertise in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors with its automation technology in the development of the modular examination stations. The mobile stations meet the design standards of the US Centers of Disease Control and Prevention, the ISO 14644-3 standard and other relevant test standards for the healthcare sector. The mobile structure is made of resistant and durable material and can be used anywhere after being connected to the power grid.

One of the main advantages of the Siemens and Auto-Info solution is quick and easy commissioning. The 3x6x3 meter modular station can be assembled in just one month – faster than any other system on the market. The solution will initially be delivered to healthcare and industrial customers in Thailand and will later be distributed throughout Southeast Asia.
